Traffic plan issued in Islamabad as foreign delegations arrive
The traffic plan will remain in effect from 8:00am on July 11 until 12:00 midnight on July 13. During this period, temporary diversions will be implemented on several major roads, and commuters have been advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
According to the ITP, traffic travelling from Suhrawardy Chowk towards Serena Chowk will be diverted. Motorists are advised to use Embassy Road as an alternate route. On Constitution Avenue, traffic travelling from France Turn towards Serena Chowk will also be diverted. However, one-way traffic will remain operational throughout the diversion period to ensure a smooth traffic flow.

Vehicles travelling from Aabpara via Srinagar Highway towards Serena Chowk will be redirected through Seventh Avenue. Similarly, traffic travelling from Kashmir Chowk towards Serena Chowk will also be diverted, with Seventh Avenue serving as the recommended alternate route.
The Islamabad Traffic Police has urged citizens to plan their journeys in advance, allow extra travel time, and cooperate with traffic officials during the three-day diversion period.
Motorists have also been advised to follow the Islamabad Traffic Police WhatsApp Channel or tune in to ITP FM 92.4 for real-time traffic updates, road information, and travel advisories. The temporary traffic plan aims to ensure the safe and smooth movement of visiting foreign delegations while minimising inconvenience for the public.
