Meanwhile, the Economy Premium category for the inaugural flight has already sold out, reflecting strong demand ahead of the airline’s official launch. Instead of operating a direct service, the Karachi-Islamabad flight will stop in Bahawalpur before continuing to the federal capital, resulting in a total journey time of around four hours and 10 minutes.
The July 16 flight will officially mark the beginning of South Air’s scheduled commercial operations. The airline plans to operate ATR 72 turboprop aircraft, which are widely used on domestic and regional routes. South Air said it aims to improve regional connectivity by linking major cities with destinations that receive fewer scheduled flights, giving passengers more travel options across Pakistan.
