SNGPL announces gas supply suspension - check areas, timings
The interruption will affect several areas, including Bara Road and Ring Road. According to a notice issued by Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, work on the gas pipeline will require the temporary shutdown. Nearby areas connected to the affected network may also face an interruption.
Gas supply to remain off overnight
The gas supply will be suspended from 8:30pm on Thursday, August 24, until 5:30am on Friday, August 25. Residents in the affected areas may face several hours without gas during this period.
The company has advised residents to make arrangements in advance. People have also been asked to use gas carefully during the period of disruption.
Bara Road, Ring Road among affected areas
Bara Road, Ring Road and nearby areas are expected to be affected by the temporary suspension. Residents in these locations may experience reduced or completely unavailable gas supply while the work continues.
SNGPL has said the interruption is linked to maintenance work on the gas pipeline. The temporary shutdown is intended to allow the required work to be completed safely.
Supply to resume after work
SNGPL said gas supplies will be restored once the pipeline work has been completed. Residents are expected to receive normal service after the work is finished.
The company has urged affected consumers to plan ahead to avoid inconvenience. The temporary suspension is expected to end within the announced time unless the work takes longer than planned.
The temporary shutdown may cause inconvenience for households that depend on gas for cooking and other daily needs. Making arrangements in advance can help residents manage the interruption.
The suspension is linked to pipeline work rather than a permanent change in supply. Gas service should return after the work is completed.
