Punjab education boards open new jobs after 15 years – Will you apply?
Lahore and Faisalabad are among the boards where appointments will be made. The recruitment process has started for several positions, including computer programmer, assistant and senior computer operator. Posts for deputy secretary, assistant secretary and estate officer will also be filled.
Lahore to fill 33 posts
In Lahore, 33 vacancies in grades 16 and 17 will be filled through a formal recruitment process. Candidates for these positions will be selected through the Punjab Public Service Commission.
The hiring is expected to bring new staff into important administrative and technical roles. The move comes after a long gap in recruitment across the education boards.
Vacancies created after long gap
Sources said many important positions remained vacant because no new recruitment had taken place for the past 15 years. The shortage increased the workload for existing employees and affected the boards’ day-to-day operations.
The vacant posts include positions linked to administration, office work and computer-related duties. Filling them is expected to reduce pressure on current staff and improve the distribution of work.
New hiring expected to improve work
The new appointments are expected to strengthen administrative and office operations across Punjab’s education boards. Officials also expect the recruitment to improve the speed and efficiency of routine work.
The decision could provide fresh staff for boards dealing with examinations and other education-related responsibilities. It also marks a major change after years without regular recruitment.
The hiring decision could help address staff shortages that have built up over many years. Bringing in new employees may make routine work faster and reduce pressure on existing staff.
The recruitment of technical and administrative workers is especially important as education boards increasingly depend on digital systems. The success of the move will depend on timely appointments and effective staff placement.
