Students in Islamabad’s federal government schools and colleges are set to enjoy a long holiday period as authorities have combined Eid celebrations with the spring break, officials announced.
According to a government notification, all federal educational institutions will remain closed from March 24 to March 27 for spring break and will reopen on March 30. This extension provides students with several consecutive days off.
The holiday schedule begins with the Eid holidays, observed from March 19 to March 21. Following this, March 22 will be a Sunday, and March 23 is designated as a national holiday. The spring break will then take place from March 24 to March 27, with another Sunday on March 28.

Officials said this arrangement allows students in Islamabad to enjoy a continuous break of several days, making it one of the longest holiday periods of the year for federal institutions.
Educational activities will resume on March 30, when schools and colleges reopen for regular classes. Authorities have advised students and parents to plan accordingly and make use of the extended break responsibly.
The extended holiday is expected to give students an opportunity for rest, travel, and family time, while also easing administrative planning for schools during this busy period.
