(Web Desk): Two armed robbers hijacked a truck near Sargodha, stealing 80 liters of diesel and cash while the crew was repairing a tire.

Two armed robbers targeted a truck near Kot Naja in Sargodha, stealing 80 liters of diesel and cash from the vehicle, police said. The incident occurred when a truck carrying gypsum from Qaidabad to its destination experienced a tire blowout near Pindi Bhattian.

According to police reports, while the truck crew was busy fixing the punctured tire, two armed robbers approached the vehicle. The assailants forcibly took 80 liters of diesel, valued at approximately 23,000 rupees, and transferred it into plastic containers before fleeing the scene.

In addition to the diesel, the robbers also snatched 10,000 rupees in cash from the truck crew. Police said the driver of the truck, Muhammad Yaseen, immediately reported the robbery.

Police in Sargodha have registered a case of armed robbery against two unidentified suspects. Authorities are actively searching for the culprits and investigating the incident to prevent similar crimes in the area.

Security officials have urged truck drivers and transport companies to remain vigilant and avoid stopping in isolated locations without police assistance, especially when repairing vehicles on highways.

The local police department said efforts are underway to track down the robbers and recover the stolen diesel and cash. Meanwhile, law enforcement is increasing patrols in the affected areas to deter future attacks.
