The Punjab School Education Department has issued a warning to teachers and principals after reports showed that some teachers were not wearing the required gowns in schools across the province. One school, Government Fatima School on Fane Road, has been specifically asked to give an explanation for not following the rules.
To investigate the issue personally, Secretary of School Education, Mudassir Riaz, visited the school and checked the situation himself. The department reminded everyone that since 23 February, wearing a gown has been compulsory for all teachers in Punjab schools. This rule applies to both teachers and principals, and those who fail to follow it, will face fines or other penalties.

The purpose of this strict rule is to make sure that all school staff follow official regulations and maintain professional standards in schools. The department emphasized that wearing the gown is not optional and is part of keeping a proper and disciplined learning environment for students. By enforcing this rule, the authorities hope to ensure that teachers set a good example and that schools maintain a professional and organized appearance at all times.
