Russia will conduct Open International Biology Olympiad (OIBO) from 15 May to 22 May 2026 in Sirius Federal Territory. Students of age 14-18 are invited from around the world to compete. The
Olympiad aims to foster interest in modern biological and biotechnological challenges, encourage international collaboration, and provide a platform for knowledge exchange among young scientists.
Pakistani students are eligible to participate in teams of two to six members, accompanied by one team leader and up to two observers. Each country may send one team, while the host country is allowed two delegations. The competition is structured in three rounds: theoretical, practical, and a team project, each conducted on separate days. The official languages are Russian and English, with translation support available in participants’ national languages upon request.
The organizers provide accommodation and meals for participants and team leaders, while travel costs are the responsibility of the sending country. Observers can participate by paying a 70,000 RUB organizational fee. To ensure fairness, students are required to submit personal electronic devices to their team leaders during the competition.
