Punjab launches new safety app feature for security guards
The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has introduced a new feature in its Public Safety App to improve the safety and security of security guards across the province. The initiative aims to provide faster emergency assistance through modern technology.
The new feature has been launched at the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Under the system, security guards can register their personal information and duty locations through the Public Safety App.
In an emergency, a registered security guard can press a single button in the app to send an instant alert to Punjab Emergency 15. The quick-response feature is designed to reduce response times during critical situations.

Once the alert is received, the guard’s live location and registered information appear in the Safe City Control Room. The nearest police team is immediately dispatched to the location to assist without delay.
According to the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, the new feature combines modern technology, real-time location tracking, and rapid police response to improve the safety of security guards and strengthen public security across Punjab.
Officials believe the latest addition to the Public Safety App will improve emergency response, enhance coordination between citizens and law enforcement agencies, and help create a safer environment across the province.
