Petrol pump strike shuts 375 stations in Lahore

The Petroleum Dealers Association announced the Lahore petrol pump strike, warning that motorists could face temporary difficulties in buying petrol and diesel from association-operated fuel stations.

Lahore Petroleum Dealers Association President Jehangzeb Malik said all petrol pumps linked to the association are participating in the strike. However, around 150 petrol pumps directly operated by oil marketing companies will remain open, allowing citizens to continue purchasing fuel.

He said the Lahore petrol pump strike is meant to draw the government’s attention to the problems faced by petroleum dealers and encourage authorities to address their concerns through dialogue.

Officials have advised residents not to panic or believe rumors about a complete fuel shortage. Instead, they have urged motorists to use the petrol pumps that remain open and avoid unnecessary rush.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure fuel supplies continue across Lahore. They believe the company-operated stations will help prevent any major disruption in fuel distribution.
