Government increases petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan again
The latest OGRA fuel prices show that petrol has become more expensive by Rs4.93 per litre. Following the petrol price increase, the new petrol price Pakistan consumers will pay is Rs320.73 per litre.
High-speed diesel has also seen a fresh hike. The diesel price increase of Rs7.15 per litre has pushed the new diesel price Pakistan to Rs367.21 per litre.
The revised petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan came into effect immediately after the official notification.
The updated OGRA fuel prices were issued shortly after the All Pakistan Petroleum Pump Owners Association warned of an indefinite nationwide shutdown.
The association had announced the protest after negotiations with the government over the daily petroleum pricing mechanism failed.
The latest petrol price increase and diesel price increase come only a day after another revision in petroleum prices Pakistan.
On Monday, petrol had been reduced by Rs0.35 per litre to Rs315.80, while diesel had increased by Rs5.71 per litre to Rs360.06.
With the new petrol price Pakistan and diesel price Pakistan now in effect, transport operators and consumers are expected to face higher fuel expenses.

Businesses that rely on transportation may also experience increased operating costs as petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan continue to fluctuate.
Officials say the revised OGRA fuel prices are based on current market conditions and international oil trends.
However, the repeated changes in petroleum prices Pakistan have raised concerns among consumers, who are already dealing with rising living costs.
