Peshawar BRT to add 52 new buses with Pink Bus service for women
TransPeshawar has announced that 52 new buses purchased for the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system are ready to be shipped to Pakistan. The new buses will help expand services and improve public transport for passengers across the city.
After the new buses arrive, the total BRT fleet will increase to 296. The buses will operate on both the main BRT corridor and feeder routes, helping reduce passenger waiting times, increase service capacity, and meet the growing demand for public transport.
TransPeshawar also announced that a dedicated Pink Bus service for women will be launched after the new buses become operational. The new service is designed to offer women safer, more comfortable, and more convenient travel, particularly during peak hours.

Officials stated that the expansion is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Peshawar’s public transportation network and enhance daily commuting for thousands of passengers. The additional buses are expected to make travel smoother, reduce overcrowding, and improve service reliability on existing routes.
The transport authority believes that the larger fleet and the launch of the Pink Bus service will enhance the overall travel experience while encouraging more people to use the BRT system.
