Pakistan Railways is preparing to introduce upgraded parlor seating for passengers seeking a more comfortable travel experience. The new seats will initially be installed in Rail Cars before being gradually introduced on other trains.

Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi inspected the newly introduced seats and reviewed their quality during a visit. The minister expressed satisfaction with the standard of the seats and their design.

The move is part of Pakistan Railways’ efforts to improve passenger facilities and provide better seating arrangements during train journeys.

Facility may expand to other trains

The department plans to assess the initial installation before expanding the premium seating facility to other trains. The upgraded seats are expected to provide passengers with improved comfort during their journeys.

Parlor-style seating is already associated with premium train services in Pakistan, where passengers can access upgraded seating and additional facilities depending on the train and class.

The introduction of the new seats comes as Pakistan Railways continues efforts to modernise passenger services and improve the overall travel experience.
