Pakistan digital Hajj portal payments cross Rs31 billion in just 24 hours
Showing a strong response to the digital payment system, more than 50,000 Hajj applications have also been submitted through the online facility.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs said the digital service has made it possible for pilgrims to complete their payments without visiting offices. The system is designed to make the process faster and more convenient for applicants.
Thousands complete Hajj payments online
Payments have been completed for around 22,000 pilgrims under the Short Hajj Scheme. Another 28,000 pilgrims under the Long Hajj Scheme have also completed their payments through the digital system.
The figures show that thousands of applicants are quickly adopting online payment methods. The facility has also helped reduce the need for physical payment procedures.
Online payments available across Pakistan
Pilgrims from all four provinces have used the online payment facility. Applicants from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad have also made payments through the system.
The wide use of the service means pilgrims from different parts of the country can complete the process remotely. This could make Hajj registration and payment more accessible for many applicants.
Three payment options offered
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has provided three payment methods through the Pak Hajj app and Hajj portal. These include One Link, bank cards and bank challans.
The digital system aims to simplify the payment process for pilgrims. It also allows payments to be handled more quickly through multiple options.
The strong response to the Hajj portal shows growing use of digital services for religious travel arrangements. Crossing Rs31 billion in payments within a day is a notable milestone.
The online system can save pilgrims time and reduce the need for physical visits. Offering several payment options could also make the process easier for applicants across Pakistan.
