The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has led to major disruptions in Pakistan’s air travel sector, with 55 flights canceled today across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. The cancellations come amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Gulf region, affecting both business and leisure travelers.
At Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, 14 flights bound for Doha, Bahrain, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Najaf were canceled. Similarly, Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport saw 14 cancellations to destinations including Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jeddah, Bahrain, and Sharjah. Islamabad’s New Islamabad International Airport faced the highest disruption, with 25 flights to Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Bahrain, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Sharjah being called off.

According to airline sources, these cancellations are part of a continuing trend over the past 13 days, during which 17,039 flights from Pakistan to the Middle East have been canceled due to the ongoing regional instability. Airlines and authorities have urged passengers to check their flight status and ticket details before traveling, as further cancellations remain possible depending on the situation.
Experts warn that the situation may continue to impact air travel and ticket prices, while diplomatic efforts are ongoing to de-escalate tensions. Travelers are advised to stay updated via official airline channels and news sources to avoid disruptions.
