Outdoor drone ban continues as Punjab extends Section 144
The Punjab government has extended the enforcement of Section 144 across the province for another 30 days, keeping the complete ban on flying outdoor drones in place due to ongoing security and public safety concerns.
According to the Punjab Home Department, the restriction on outdoor drone operations has been extended in view of the prevailing security situation. The government said the decision aims to protect public safety and maintain law and order across the province.
Officials clarified that drones will continue to be banned in open areas. However, the limited use of small drones will be permitted during indoor events held in halls and marquees, subject to strict safety conditions. The government said event organizers will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of drones during indoor functions and must comply with all applicable safety regulations.
