The Government of Balochistan has launched a new Electric Bike Scheme aimed at empowering youth and women through affordable transportation and eco-friendly mobility. The initiative was announced by Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, who said the program reflects the provincial government’s commitment to economic opportunity and sustainable development.

The scheme enables eligible applicants to obtain an electric bike at a heavily subsidized price, making modern transport accessible for students, young professionals, and working women across the province.

Cost of Electric Bike and Government Subsidy

Under the scheme, the total price of the electric bike is Rs175,000. However, the government will provide a 30% subsidy worth Rs52,500.

Applicants will only need to make an initial payment of Rs17,500, while the remaining Rs105,000 will be financed through a bank loan facility.

The repayment will be made through monthly installments of Rs4,773 for 24 months, making the scheme affordable for many young people.

Officials say the program is designed not only to provide transportation but also to promote environmentally friendly vehicles and reduce fuel dependence.

How to Apply for the Balochistan e-Bike Scheme

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official portal:

www.ebike.balochistan.gov.pk

Application process:

1.     Visit the official website and register.

2.     Enter your personal details and category information.

3.     Upload the required documents.

4.     Submit the application for verification and approval.

After verification, the government will conduct a transparent digital balloting process. Successful applicants will then receive their electric bikes under the scheme.

Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti stated that the program is a key step toward youth empowerment, financial inclusion, and green mobility in Balochistan.
