(Web Desk): Naran, a popular tourist spot in Kaghan Valley, is set to reopen as snow clearance nears completion, raising hopes for tourists eager to visit the valley again.

Authorities say travel may soon resume after months of closure. Naran is preparing to welcome visitors once roads are fully restored. Work is ongoing on the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road to make travel safe and smooth.

The National Highway Authority has used heavy machinery to cut through glaciers and remove snow. Officials believe traffic could restart within a few days after being stopped for nearly six months.

The road was closed last November due to heavy snowfall that blocked access to the region. While the route up to Naran is mostly clear, full traffic restoration may still take four to five weeks.

Hotel owners in the area have started returning to get ready for incoming tourists. They are preparing their businesses after a long winter break.

However, some famous tourist spots are still not accessible due to snow and landslides. Lake Saiful Muluk remains blocked, and it may take more time before visitors can reach it.

Security arrangements are also being restored along the الطريق. Police posts are not fully active yet, but authorities are working to bring them back step by step.

Officials said the main police station in lower Kaghan Valley will be shifted to Naran. More posts will be reopened gradually to ensure safety for travelers.

Reopening Naran can bring back tourism and local business activity. But delays in full access may affect early visitors. Safety and road conditions will be very important.

Why Naran is an attraction

Naran is a small but very famous hill station in northern Pakistan. It is located in the beautiful Kaghan Valley and is known for its cool weather, green mountains, and flowing rivers.

Naran sits at an altitude of around 2,400 meters (about 7,900 feet) above sea level. Because of its height, it stays cold for most of the year and gets heavy snowfall in winter.

It is popular among tourists for its natural beauty and peaceful environment. People visit to enjoy rivers, forests, and nearby lakes like Lake Saiful Muluk, which is one of the most famous attractions in the country.

Naran is also a starting point for trips to other northern areas. Many travelers pass through it on their way to places like Babusar Top and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In simple words, Naran is a scenic mountain town where people go to relax, enjoy nature, and escape the heat of cities.
