Monsoon death toll rises to 121 across Pakistan: NDMA
NDMA reports latest death toll
According to the NDMA, eight people were killed, and 17 others were injured during the past 24 hours, bringing the nationwide death toll to 121.
The authority said a total of 381 people have been injured in rain-related incidents since the start of the monsoon season. Officials urged citizens to remain cautious as more rainfall is expected in different parts of the country.
Children are among the worst affected
The NDMA said the victims include 55 children, 41 men, and 25 women. Officials said children remain among the most vulnerable during heavy rainfall, especially in areas affected by flash floods, collapsing buildings and overflowing streams.
Authorities have advised parents to keep children away from rivers, canals, nullahs, and rain-fed waterways during bad weather.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa records the highest fatalities
According to provincial data, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded the highest number of deaths, with 55 fatalities.

Punjab reported 45 deaths, followed by Azad Jammu and Kashmir with 10, Balochistan with eight, Sindh with two, and Gilgit-Baltistan with one. Officials said rescue teams and local administrations remain active in the affected districts.
Punjab reports the highest number of injuries
The NDMA said Punjab recorded the highest number of injuries, with 279 people injured in rain-related incidents.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported 80 injuries, followed by Balochistan with 15, Azad Jammu and Kashmir with five, and Sindh with two. Emergency services continue to provide medical assistance and rescue support to affected communities.
Heavy rains damage homes and infrastructure
The latest NDMA report said monsoon rains have damaged 901 houses across Pakistan. The authority also reported that 459 livestock have been swept away by floodwaters.
In addition, 36 bridges and 25 kilometres of roads have been damaged, disrupting transportation and affecting access to several areas. Officials said restoration work is continuing wherever weather conditions permit.
Authorities urge the public to remain alert
The NDMA has advised people living in low-lying and flood-prone areas to remain alert and follow official weather advisories. Citizens have been urged to avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rainfall and stay away from fast-flowing rivers, streams, and floodwaters.

Emergency response agencies remain on standby to respond quickly to any flood-related incidents or rescue operations.
Situation remains under close monitoring
Officials said the NDMA is continuously monitoring rainfall, river flows, and weather conditions across the country. Relevant departments have been instructed to coordinate with provincial authorities to ensure timely rescue, relief and recovery efforts wherever needed.
The authority also encouraged the public to stay updated through official weather advisories and emergency announcements.
