Mir Raza case: Father demands answers over ‘last moments’ video
The investigation into the high-profile Mir Raza case is continuing, with DIG Aamir Farooqi indicating that a video showing Raza’s final moments may be released.
The development has caused fresh concern for Raza’s family, who say they have been asking authorities for access to videos since the beginning of the investigation.
Father expresses anger
Speaking about the development, Mir Raza’s father, Mir Hussain, said the family had not slept through the night after hearing about the alleged video.
“We have been asking you from day one to show us the videos,” he said, questioning why authorities were talking about a last-moments video after 24 days.
Mir Hussain said the family had repeatedly sent messages to officials, requesting that they be shown the footage and kept informed about the investigation.
Family seeks transparency
The grieving father said the family had already suffered immense pain, particularly after having Raza’s grave exhumed during the investigation.
He questioned what authorities meant by the newly mentioned video and urged officials to explain the situation to the family.
Mir Hussain also said DIG Aamir Farooqi is known as a reputable officer but expressed disappointment that his messages had not received a response.
Calls for immediate response
The family has urged authorities to provide clear information and show them any available footage related to the case.
Mir Hussain said media reports were discussing the video while the family itself remained uninformed. He added that the situation reminded him of the earlier investigation, when the family also felt it was not properly taken into confidence.
The case remains under investigation as the family continues to seek transparency and answers about the circumstances surrounding Mir Raza’s death.
