The City Traffic Police Lahore has introduced a new digital policing system called “One App” along with a redesigned uniform as part of efforts to modernize traffic management in Lahore.

According to officials, the new system was launched under the supervision of Chief Traffic Officer Dr Athar Waheed. To support the initiative, all circle officers have been provided with iPads that come pre-installed with the One App system.

The CTO said the application will allow traffic wardens to access multiple operational services with a single click, enabling them to perform several tasks directly on the spot. The app is linked with databases of various government departments, making it possible to verify records instantly.

Through the new system, every traffic violation will be digitally recorded, which can later be used as official evidence if required. Officials say the system will significantly improve transparency and efficiency in traffic law enforcement.

Under the new setup, traffic officers will be able to verify identity cards, driving licenses, and stolen vehicle records instantly. They can also check vehicle ownership details, fitness certificates, and route permits through the integrated database.

Authorities added that the system will also help officers take action against encroachments and environmental violations. The app enables officials to check e-challans, the status of FIRs, and even a driver’s criminal history.

Meanwhile, a new electric vehicle connected to the One App system has begun operations from Main Boulevard Gulberg.

Officials said the introduction of modern technology and new uniforms aims to ensure that traffic police provide citizens with more professional, respectful, and efficient services.
