A fire broke out at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) headquarters on Tuesday, causing extensive damage to the office of Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab.

According to fire brigade officials, the blaze started in a kitchen located next to the mayor’s office before spreading to the adjoining area. Firefighters quickly reached the site and launched an operation to contain the flames.

The fire caused severe damage to the mayor’s office, with officials confirming that the premises were completely gutted. Furniture, office equipment and other items inside the office were also reportedly destroyed by the intense flames.

The incident raised concern among officials and staff at the KMC headquarters, although emergency teams managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other sections of the municipal building.
