Pakistan's fuel prices have been revised for July 21, with the government increasing the prices of kerosene and high-speed diesel while slightly reducing the price of petrol.

According to a notification issued by the federal government on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the revised petroleum prices will remain effective for July 21.

Under the new rates, the petrol price has been reduced by Rs0.35 per litre, bringing it down to Rs315.80 per litre. The small cut is expected to provide limited relief to motorists, although the overall impact on transportation costs is likely to remain minimal.

In contrast, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has increased by Rs5.71 per litre. Following the latest revision, diesel will now be sold at Rs360.06 per litre. Diesel is widely used by the transport, agriculture and industrial sectors, meaning the increase could raise operating costs in several parts of the economy.

The government has also raised the price of kerosene oil by Rs5.93 per litre. The new kerosene price has been fixed at Rs282.59 per litre. Kerosene is commonly used for cooking, heating and lighting in many rural and remote areas of Pakistan, making the increase significant for households that rely on the fuel.

The latest revision reflects the government's regular fuel pricing mechanism based on international oil market trends and recommendations from OGRA. Consumers and businesses will closely watch future price adjustments as global crude oil prices and exchange rate movements continue to influence domestic petroleum rates.
