Karachi set to get Pakistan’s biggest one-stop centre for passports, CNICs and licences
Pakistan’s biggest public facilitation centre planned
The new centre is expected to become Pakistan’s largest public facilitation centre, according to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Naqvi announced the plan during his visit to the Ministry of Interior’s office on I.I. Chundrigar Road in Karachi on Tuesday.
The proposed centre will bring different departments and organisations working under the Ministry of Interior together under one roof. This means citizens may no longer need to visit different offices for separate services.

Passports, CNICs and licences to be available
Services at the centre are expected to include passport processing, CNIC-related services, arms licences and different no-objection certificates (NOCs).
The government hopes the one-stop facility will make public services easier and save citizens time and effort.
Master plan to be prepared within 10 days
Naqvi has directed officials to prepare a complete master plan for the centre within 10 days. The plan will include the requirements needed to establish and run the facility.
“The facilitation centre will provide citizens with a range of services under one roof,” the minister said, according to the Interior Ministry’s statement.
Officials have also been directed to take all necessary steps to establish the centre.
Details of centre are still awaited
The initiative is part of wider efforts to make government services more centralised and easier for citizens to access.
However, the government has not yet announced the exact location, opening date, service charges or complete operating system of the centre.
