(Web Desk): Rising Iran-Israel-US tensions push jet fuel prices in Pakistan to record highs, raising costs for airlines and passengers.

Escalating tensions between Iran, Israel, and United States have created fresh challenges for the global aviation industry, with Pakistan seeing a sharp rise in jet fuel prices.

Sources report that jet fuel in Pakistan has increased by Rs 46 per litre, pushing the cost for fuel used in Airbus and Boeing aircraft to Rs 388 per litre. Experts say that since March 1, the cumulative price rise has reached nearly Rs 200 per litre, delivering a major blow to the aviation sector.

Data shows that jet fuel was priced at Rs 188 per litre at the beginning of March. However, disruptions in the supply chain caused by the escalating conflict in the Middle East have led to a steady surge in fuel prices.

Aviation specialists warn that ongoing tensions in the region have destabilized the global oil market, affecting not only jet fuel but also other petroleum products. If the situation continues, air travel could become even more expensive, and airlines may face significant financial pressure.

Officials indicate that rising costs are prompting airlines to consider fare increases, which would directly impact passengers. Industry analysts stress the importance of monitoring the conflict’s effect on supply chains and preparing for potential further price hikes.

The surge in jet fuel costs highlights the far-reaching impact of geopolitical conflicts on global transportation networks and domestic markets, emphasizing the need for contingency planning and strategic management within the aviation sector.
