Tensions in the Middle East escalated sharply as Iran threatened to completely close the Strait of Hormuz if United States targets its power plants. Iranian officials warned that attacks could also extend to energy and water infrastructure across the region.
Meanwhile, Israel struck the Qasmiyeh Bridge in southern Lebanon. President Michel Aoun described the attack as a potential precursor to a ground offensive.

Iranian attacks have reportedly injured over 180 people in southern Israeli cities including Arad and Dimona. In addition, Iran-backed forces in Iraq targeted the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Baghdad following strikes on US diplomatic personnel and the airport.
