Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim is in the eye of a social media storm after his former wife, Sania Ashfaq, leveled serious allegations against him, just days after he announced his second marriage.

Ashfaq took to Instagram accusing Wasim of infidelity during their marriage and abandoning her and their three children. She also alleged that in December 2023, he forced her to undergo an abortion in Lahore against her will, describing it as physically and emotionally traumatic. She claimed to have video evidence to support her accusations.

In her posts, Ashfaq urged fans to boycott Wasim’s Pakistan Super League team, Islamabad United, questioning his loyalty and credibility. She claimed he left her without emotional or financial support during her pregnancy.

These allegations surfaced hours before Wasim announced his marriage to influencer Nyla Rajah. In response, Wasim posted on Instagram that his previous marriage was one of the most difficult phases of his life. He expressed unconditional love for his children and admitted to decisions he regrets, but he did not directly respond to Ashfaq’s claims. Wasim described his new marriage as a fresh start focused on peace, stability, and mutual respect.

Nyla Rajah also addressed the backlash, stating that the marriage followed proper procedures after Wasim’s divorce and denying any wrongdoing. She said her privacy and character were unfairly targeted online.
