Hajj digital portal sees Rs52.5 billion instalments from 84,000 pilgrims
The Ministry of Religious Affairs said 30,000 seats in the Short Hajj package have been filled. The Long Hajj package has received 54,000 applications so far. Around 23,000 seats are still available under the 40-day package.
Three payment methods available
The National IT Board has introduced three payment options through the Pak Hajj app and Hajj digital portal. Pilgrims can pay through OneLink PSID, bank cards or a Pak Hajj manual challan.
The ministry said Rs52.5 billion has been received through the three payment methods as the first instalment. Payments are being successfully processed from all four provinces, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad.
Pilgrims urged to complete payments
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has asked people planning to perform Hajj 2027 to complete their details and payments on the portal as soon as possible. Booking for the 40-day Hajj package will stop once the required number of pilgrims has been reached.
The ministry is encouraging applicants to complete the process without waiting until the last moment. The remaining seats in the Long Hajj package could be filled as more payments are received.
Hajj package costs explained
The first instalment for the 40-day Long Hajj package has been set at Rs600,000. For the 25-day Short Hajj package, the first instalment is Rs650,000.
Pilgrims choosing separate two-bed rooms in Makkah will have to pay an additional Rs210,000 per person. The additional cost for separate three-bed rooms in Makkah is Rs70,000 per person.
The strong response shows that many pilgrims have already moved ahead with their Hajj 2027 plans. The digital payment system is also making it easier for applicants from different parts of Pakistan to complete the process.
With thousands of Long Hajj seats still available, more applications are expected. Pilgrims should complete their payments and details early to avoid missing the available seats.
