The Government of Balochistan has announced an advance salary and pension package for Christian government employees across the province, enabling them to prepare for Christmas without financial stress.The decision was confirmed through a notification issued by the Finance Department.

According to the notification, salaries and pensions for December 2025 will be disbursed on December 22, instead of the usual date of January 1, 2026. Officials said the early payment aims to support Christian employees and pensioners as they make arrangements for Christmas celebrations.

The Finance Department stated that the move is designed to provide timely financial relief, ensuring that families have sufficient resources for festive expenses. The advance payment will apply to all eligible Christian employees and retirees working under the provincial government.

Officials added that the initiative reflects Balochistan’s commitment to safeguarding the rights and welfare of minority communities. They said the provincial leadership believes that acknowledging religious events and offering practical support strengthens social harmony within the region.

Meanwhile, the federal government has also issued its official holiday schedule for December 2025. As per the notification, December 25 will be observed nationwide as a public holiday in honour of Quaid-e-Azam Day, while December 26 will be a public holiday reserved for Christian employees to mark post-Christmas observances.

The announcement has been welcomed by Christian community leaders, who say the advance salary will ease financial pressures and allow families to celebrate the festival with dignity and comfort.
