QUETTA (Web Desk): Gas supply disrupted in Balochistan after a pipeline blast in Akhtarabad, leaving multiple districts without gas as repair work continues.

According to officials, the explosion hit an 18-inch gas pipeline, forcing authorities to suspend gas supply for more than 47 hours. The disruption has impacted both local areas and parts of the wider region.

Several districts, including Mastung, Kalat, Pishin, Kuchlak, and Ziarat, are facing severe gas shortages. In Quetta, many areas such as Hazara Town, Hazar Ganji, Khrotabad, Pashtoon Bagh, Khezi, and Nohsar are also experiencing outages.

Authorities have started repair work on the damaged pipeline to restore the supply as soon as possible. Meanwhile, limited gas is being provided to Quetta and nearby areas through an alternative pipeline to reduce the impact.
