Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has announced a special relief initiative to provide free petrol to motorcyclists until Eid in response to the recent surge in petroleum product prices in Pakistan.
According to the governor, motorcyclists will receive up to 3 liters of petrol free of cost as an Eid relief measure aimed at supporting citizens facing financial pressure due to rising fuel costs and inflation.
Surprise Visits to Fuel Stations Planned
Kamran Tessori revealed that he plans to make surprise visits to petrol pumps across the city, where motorcyclists present at the station will receive free fuel.
He stated that he may arrive unexpectedly at any petrol station in Karachi, and the motorcyclists present at that moment will have their bikes filled with three liters of free petrol.
The initiative is designed as a gesture of support for people struggling to afford even small fuel expenses during inflation.

Relief for People Affected by Inflation
The governor said the program is intended as an Eid gift for citizens who are unable to afford petrol due to the ongoing economic challenges.
He noted that many people cannot even afford fuel worth Rs1,000, and the initiative aims to provide temporary relief during the festive season.
Warning About Possible Price Increases
Kamran Tessori also warned that global tensions and potential conflict in the region could lead to further increases in petrol prices and essential commodities if the situation worsens.
He urged citizens to pray for peace in the region, stating that prolonged instability could place additional pressure on Pakistan’s economy.
Governor House Cancels Iftar Events
In a separate announcement, the governor said that all Iftar parties at the Governor House during the last ten days of Ramadan have been canceled as part of an effort to support the government’s austerity policy introduced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
However, he confirmed that the “Umeed-e-Ramzan Dastarkhwan” initiative for the public will continue to operate to support people during Ramadan.
Kamran Tessori also said he has canceled his personal Iftar invitations as a guest, emphasizing the need for financial discipline during difficult economic times.
