According to the Public Transport Association, the fares of intercity and intracity buses were increased by 5%.
Passengers are worried about the increase in fares, and one passenger said that they used to pay Rs2,000 for Islamabad, but now they are charging Rs2,300.
Another passenger said that he had come from Mirpur Khas after paying Rs2,500 for the fare and was asking for Rs3,000 for the return.

According to transporters, raising fares is a necessity, all expenses have to be covered, and the increase in the prices of petroleum products affects business.
It should be noted that the government has increased the price of diesel by Rs10.39 per liter and the price of petrol by Rs8.36 per liter.
After the price increase, the new price of petrol has become Rs266.79 per liter and the price of diesel has become Rs272.98 per liter.
