(Web Desk): Nearly 22,000 Pakistanis were deported from Gulf countries over four months for overstaying, visa violations and forged documents.

The figures were shared in Pakistan’s National Assembly through a written response to a question raised by MNA Hameed Hussain. Between March 1 and July 13, 2026, a total of 21,951 Pakistani nationals were deported from Gulf states. The data showed that authorities took action against people involved in several different violations.

Absconders among deportees

At least 4,628 Pakistani absconders were deported during the period. Another 1,294 were jailed, while 968 were blacklisted by authorities.

The figures also showed that 1,155 deportations involved lost passports. In addition, 689 Pakistanis were deported for visa violations, while 342 were refused entry into Gulf countries.

Thousands listed under ‘Others’

A total of 6,662 Pakistanis were deported under the category ‘Others’. The written response did not provide further details about the specific offences or reasons included in this category.

Another 472 Pakistani nationals were deported over allegations of begging. Nine Pakistanis were also deported from the UAE through Interpol, according to the response.

Saudi Arabia and UAE report major numbers

Saudi Arabia deported 3,921 Pakistani absconders, while the UAE deported 636 people in the same category. Saudi Arabia also deported 1,924 Pakistanis for visa-related offences, compared with 347 from the UAE and 295 from Oman.

The figures highlight the different reasons Pakistani nationals were removed from Gulf countries during the reported period. Visa compliance, valid documents and following local laws remain important for Pakistanis working or travelling in the region.

The large number of deportations shows that immigration violations can have serious consequences for Pakistani nationals abroad. Better awareness of visa rules, legal requirements and employment conditions could help reduce such cases.
