Barrister Salman Safdar, lawyer of jailed PTI founder Imran Khan, said on Tuesday that the former prime minister’s health is fine.
Safdar made the remarks after a three-hour meeting with Imran Khan at Central Jail Rawalpindi, also known as Adiala jail.
The meeting was allowed by the Supreme Court, which declared Barrister Safdar a “friend of the court” and instructed him to assess Imran Khan’s living conditions.
“It is appropriate that a report be sought on the living conditions of the PTI founder. Barrister [Salman] Safdar should be given access to the barracks of the PTI founder so that he can give a written response,” the court had said.

Speaking to journalists outside the jail, Barrister Safdar confirmed that he was given “full access” to Imran Khan.
He added, “I will not say anything until the report is submitted to the Supreme Court,” respecting the court’s instructions.
The Supreme Court has directed the lawyer to submit the report on Imran Khan’s living conditions by Wednesday.
