LAHORE (Web Desk): Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announces Karachi development plan worth Rs84.796 billion, promising modern roads, flyovers, and improved traffic flow.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said he wants to launch a comprehensive development plan for Karachi in partnership with the Frontier Work Organization (FWO).

Murad Ali Shah stressed that all major projects must follow the best design and architecture standards. He said Karachi’s development should match the world’s leading cities.

He said key projects include a new road linking M-9 Jinnah Avenue to Shahrah-e-Faisal, connecting the Super Highway with the city’s main highways.

A flyover will also be built from the airport towards Star Gate to provide direct access to Shahrah-e-Faisal.

The chief minister said Hawkes Bay Road will be constructed from the Y-junction to Machhli Chowk, while another road will link Masroor Base to the Truck Stand.

He added that Sohrab Goth, known as a major gateway to the city, will get a flyover to ease heavy traffic pressure in the area.

Murad Ali Shah said seven major projects are part of the Rs84.796 billion package.

He said 443 internal roads will be built across Karachi, along with nine traffic management projects to reduce congestion.
