PESHAWAR (Web Desk): The PTI September 27 long march plan includes reported sit-ins and camps at several locations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has reportedly finalised initial arrangements for its planned September 27 long march towards Islamabad.

According to reports, the party intends to move towards the federal capital in stages, with workers gathering at different points across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The reported plan includes proposed camps and sit-ins along parts of the motorway and Grand Trunk Road.

The details have been shared with party organisations, while a meeting in Peshawar has also been called to discuss the final strategy.

The locations and arrangements remain based on reports about the party’s initial plan and could change as the march approaches.

Attock Bridge and nearby areas

Peshawar, Khyber, Nowshera and Akora Khattak have reportedly been assigned roles around the Attock Bridge.

Khairabad Kund at the Attock Bridge in Nowshera has also been identified as a proposed gathering point.

The reported arrangements indicate that different party organisations will manage specific locations and assist workers taking part in the campaign.

The plan also includes several points along routes connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Punjab.

Security arrangements around Attock have already received attention ahead of the proposed march, with authorities reviewing entry points between the two provinces.

Motorway locations included in plan

Malakand, Swabi, Mardan and Charsadda have reportedly been assigned locations along the motorway.

Topi in Swabi and sections of the M-1 Motorway are also included in the reported arrangements.

The party’s reported strategy involves workers gathering at designated points and establishing camps as preparations for the march continue.

PTI has previously said the September 27 date remains its planned date for the Islamabad march.

KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has also publicly said he would lead the march, while the party has indicated that further details would be announced closer to the event.

Haripur and Abbottabad camps

Several locations have reportedly been identified in Haripur.

These include Hattar, Khanpur, Jhari Kas and Makhniyal, along with areas connected to the Hazara Motorway.

In Abbottabad, Barian and Kohala have reportedly been designated for party camps.

The arrangements are intended to provide gathering points for PTI workers as they prepare to move towards Islamabad.

Party members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, as well as senators, have reportedly been asked to participate in the camps and help with arrangements.

The reported plan also mentions provisions for basic facilities such as food and water at the camps.

Southern districts also included

The reported arrangements extend beyond northern and central parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Kundal in Lakki Marwat and Khushal Garh in Kohat have been identified as additional locations.

A sit-in is reportedly planned at Khushal Garh, adding another point to the proposed network of gatherings across the province.

The party has indicated that its workers would move towards Islamabad in stages rather than relying on a single gathering point.

According to the reported plan, sit-ins could be held at locations where the march faces a roadblock.

The exact implementation will depend on the final strategy and developments on September 27.

Sohail Afridi expected to lead march

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is expected to lead the march from Peshawar.

Afridi has previously confirmed September 27 as the date for the planned march and said he would personally lead the activity.

He has also been conducting political outreach activities in different parts of the country ahead of the planned event.

The KP government’s information department previously said the September 27 date remained unchanged while also noting that the party’s door for political dialogue remained open.

The reported preparations therefore come as PTI continues its political mobilisation ahead of the planned Islamabad protest.
