The prime minister departed for Davos, Switzerland, to take part in the annual World Economic Forum meeting. The global event will bring together world leaders, business heads, and policymakers.
He is travelling with a high-level delegation. It includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Economic Affairs Minister Ahad Cheema, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and senior officials.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold important meetings with heads of state, government leaders, and top officials of international organizations.

Pakistan, together with the World Economic Forum, will co-host a special business roundtable. Global corporate leaders will attend to explore fresh investment opportunities in Pakistan and expansion plans.
The prime minister will also join the WEF’s Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders session titled “Restoring a Spirit of Dialogue in a Divided World”.
In addition, he will chair a Pakistan-focused High-Level Business Roundtable with international companies.
At the forum, the prime minister will present Pakistan’s views on global and regional peace. He will also highlight the government’s priorities and progress in economic growth, trade, and investment.

The World Economic Forum annual meeting brings together political leaders, business executives, international organizations, and civil society members to discuss major global challenges.
This year’s forum is held under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue”. Discussions will focus on global cooperation, new growth paths, investment in people, responsible innovation, and sustainable prosperity.
