PM Shehbaz and FM Asim Munir offer Umrah prayers in Saudi Arabia
PM Shehbaz, Asim Munir perform Umrah during Saudi Arabia visit
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and members of the Pakistani delegation performed Umrah during their official visit to Saudi Arabia. The visit combines religious observance with high-level diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries.
The delegation also included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and other senior officials.
Before performing Umrah, the delegation was granted the special opportunity to enter the Holy Kaaba for “Khasoosi Ziarat”. During the visit inside Islam’s holiest site, the delegation offered prayers and expressed gratitude.
Special prayers offered for Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah
After completing Umrah, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir and other members of the delegation offered special prayers for Pakistan’s peace, stability and prosperity.
They also prayed for the country’s economic development, the well-being of its people, unity among the Muslim Ummah and lasting peace across the region and the world.
The religious visit came during the prime minister’s official trip to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

High-level meetings expected during the visit
The Saudi Arabia visit is taking place at an important time as regional developments continue to dominate international discussions. Officials expect the visit to further strengthen the long-standing strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Warm welcome for Pakistani delegation
Upon arrival in Jeddah, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Pakistani delegation received a warm welcome from senior Saudi and Pakistani officials.
The delegation was received by Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadli, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq and other senior representatives.
The reception reflected the close diplomatic ties and long-standing friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which have continued to grow through cooperation in various sectors.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia continue strategic partnership
