(Web Desk): Pakistan’s military leadership reaffirmed unwavering support for Kashmiris on Kashmir Solidarity Day, urging UN action for a resolution under UN resolutions.

On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Pakistan’s top military leadership reiterated unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and their legitimate struggle for freedom and self-determination.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Commander of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, speaking on behalf of the Pakistan Armed Forces, expressed solidarity with the resilient Kashmiri people and reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.

Condemnation of Human Rights Violations in IIOJK

The military leadership strongly condemned what it described as grave and systematic human rights violations in IIOJK, including extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, arbitrary detentions, and continued attempts to alter the region’s demographic and political structure in violation of international law.

They emphasized that such actions undermine peace and stability in South Asia and reflect blatant disregard for internationally recognized legal frameworks governing the disputed territory.

The military leadership urged the international community to move beyond statements of concern and take concrete, meaningful steps to alleviate the suffering of Kashmiris and ensure the implementation of UN-mandated commitments.

Commitment to Sovereignty and Solidarity

The statement concluded by reiterating that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, while standing shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their rightful quest for freedom, dignity, and self-determination.
