(Web Desk): Police briefly detained Imran Khan’s sisters after a sit-in near Adiala Jail, with Aleema alleging that women police dragged Noreen during the crackdown.

A tense standoff erupted on Tuesday night as police briefly detained Imran Khan’s sisters — Aleema Khan, Noreen Khan Niazi, and Uzma Khanum — after they refused to end their sit-in near Adiala Jail on Adiala Road.

The PTI founder’s sisters led the protest with several party activists. They demanded an immediate meeting with the jailed former prime minister. The crowd gathered near the Gorakhpur picket, chanting slogans and refusing to disperse.

Police launched a sudden crackdown. They pushed back the protesters and detained multiple PTI workers. Officers also moved in on the Khan sisters when they declined to leave the road. According to Aleema Khan, women police personnel “dragged Noreen Khan on the road” during the operation. She condemned the action and called it “state aggression against peaceful women.”

The police shifted the detained sisters from the protest site and later released them near Chakri Interchange. PTI workers followed the police vehicles and continued chanting as the sisters were dropped off.

Despite the brief detention, PTI activists regrouped and pledged to continue their protest. They insisted that the authorities must allow the sisters to meet Imran Khan without delay. The party’s official accounts shared videos of the sit-in, showing the sisters surrounded by supporters holding party flags.

The incident marks another intense clash between the PTI and law enforcement as tensions rise around Adiala Jail. PTI leaders say they will not end their demonstrations until their demands are met.
