TikToker allegedly honey-trapped driver
Police sources said a Faisalabad-based female TikToker was arrested from Sialkot during the investigation into the murder of PTI leader Abdullah Tahir. The PTI leader was killed a few days ago in Lahore’s Ghalib Market.
Investigators allege that the woman honey-trapped Abdullah Tahir’s driver before the targeted killing. Police are examining how the alleged trap may have helped the attackers gather information about the victim.
Two women under investigation
According to police sources, two women allegedly helped plan the attack through social media tools and applications. The women are suspected of assisting a group of female shooters involved in the operation.
The arrested TikToker has been taken into custody for questioning, while another woman suspected of helping the operation has also been detained. Police are now examining their possible roles and links with other suspects.
Police seek deleted mobile data
Investigators reportedly obtained important information from the social media accounts of both women. Police are also trying to recover deleted data from their mobile phones, hoping it could reveal more details about the alleged planning.
Police sources said the women provided important leads about the planning and possible objectives of the targeted operation. The second detained woman is also reportedly proficient in the Pashto language, which investigators are examining as part of the probe.
The arrests could help police understand how the alleged attack was planned and carried out. The recovery of deleted mobile data may provide further clues about contacts, messages and other possible links.
The investigation is still underway, and the allegations against the detained women have not been proven in court. More arrests or disclosures could follow if investigators establish connections with other people involved.
