Islamabad (Web Desk): Afnan Ullah Khan has urged Bilawal Bhutto to raise the AJK internet suspension issue with the PPP-led AJK government instead of the federal government.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Afnan Ullah Khan has responded to recent remarks by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari regarding the suspension of internet services in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

Speaking to the media, Afnan Ullah said Bilawal is a respected political leader, but he should take his concerns directly to the AJK government, where the PPP is in power.

He said, “Bilawal Bhutto’s concerns over the restoration of internet services in AJK should be addressed to the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, where the PPP is in government.”

The senator said the PPP is asking people in AJK to support the party, but voters will decide based on its performance. He also questioned what the PPP-led AJK government has achieved during the past six months.

Afnan Ullah further accused Bilawal of repeatedly criticising the PML-N. He said all political parties should work together to maintain a healthy political atmosphere. He added that Bilawal knows the PPP’s main political competition is with the PML-N and expressed hope that relations between the two parties would improve after the July 27 elections.

Earlier, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari proposed setting up a Truth Commission to investigate the recent unrest in AJK. Addressing an election rally in Kotli, he urged the federal government to restore internet services before the July 27 elections.

Bilawal described the upcoming AJK elections as the most important in the region’s history. He claimed the PPP remains the most popular political party in AJK and said the large number of ticket applicants reflects strong public support.

He also expressed concern over the recent unrest in the region and offered sympathy to the families of police and military personnel who lost their lives while performing their duties.

Bilawal said the banned Joint Awami Action Committee had contacted him to help resolve the crisis. He said he had written to both the committee and the prime minister, proposing a Truth Commission to establish the facts. He also appealed to protesters to pause their demonstrations until the commission completed its investigation and urged the federal government to avoid further action until the inquiry was finished.
