Bilal Bin Saqib warns freelancers as AI agents build new work model
Bilal Bin Saqib also introduced a new AI-based virtual team to show how future work may operate.
Bilal Bin Saqib, who also chairs the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, shared his experience on social media platform X. He said the global freelancing market is entering a new phase where practical learning with AI is becoming essential.
According to Bilal Bin Saqib, only reading about technology is no longer enough. He said building and working with AI tools is now becoming the real path to learning and growth.
He explained that he created a new work model by running a virtual team made up of AI agents. This team includes an AI chief executive, engineer, and designer working together on different tasks.
He said final approval of decisions will remain with humans in this system. However, AI agents can communicate with each other, divide tasks, and identify problems on their own.

Bilal Bin Saqib added that as the scope of work increases, the AI system can also indicate when new resources or team members are needed. Costs, output, and success rates can also be monitored in real time.
He warned that the global freelance economy, estimated at $1.5 trillion, could face major pressure from AI-driven work models. Traditional skills such as research, execution, and coordination are becoming increasingly automated.
He also said large companies in the future may not depend on very large teams. Instead, businesses may operate with a smaller number of skilled people supervising AI-powered workforces.
His remarks have drawn attention among freelancers and young professionals. Many are now watching how quickly AI changes the way digital work is created and managed.
The message is clear that AI is moving from a support tool to an active working partner. That could change how freelancers compete in the coming years.
For young professionals, learning how to work with AI may become more important than avoiding it. The people who adapt early may find better opportunities ahead.
