Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has taken a strong position against the alleged sale and purchase of government jobs in the province.

Officials attending a meeting of the Secretaries Committee were directed to take an oath that they would not allow government positions to be sold.

Bugti warned that there would be serious consequences if credible evidence of job-selling was found in any government department. He said neither the concerned minister nor secretary would be allowed to remain in office if such wrongdoing was established.

The chief minister has repeatedly stressed that government jobs must be given on merit. He said his position on the issue had been clear from the beginning and that the provincial cabinet and chief secretary also supported the policy.

The move comes as concerns over recruitment practices continue to attract attention in Balochistan. The government wants officials to ensure that young people are given a fair opportunity to compete for public-sector positions.

Forest Department recruitment faces inquiry

Bugti has also ordered a high-level investigation into complaints of irregularities in recruitment within the Forest Department.

He directed that the inquiry should be impartial and that anyone found responsible after the investigation should face punishment. The government has indicated that officials will not be protected if evidence proves that recruitment rules were violated.

The chief minister also asked secretaries to keep a close watch on their subordinate staff and recruitment committees. The aim is to prevent any attempt to influence hiring decisions or misuse official positions.

“All secretaries must take an oath before Allah that they will not allow the jobs of Balochistan’s youth to be sold,” Bugti said.

The statement sends a clear warning to officials involved in recruitment. It also places responsibility on senior officers to ensure that hiring remains transparent and based on merit.

بلوچستان میں کوئی نوکری فروخت نہیں ہوگی، وزیر اعلیٰ نے افسران سے حلف لے لیا، نوکریوں کی خرید و فروخت ثابت ہونے پر کوئی وزیر بچے گا نہ کوئی سیکرٹری، وزیراعلیٰ بلوچستان میر سرفراز بگٹی کا دو ٹوک اعلان۔ وزیر اعلیٰ بلوچستان کا محکمہ جنگلات کی بھرتیوں میں بے ضابطگی کی شکایات پر اعلیٰ سطحی تحقیقات کا حکم۔ وزیر اعلیٰ بلوچستان میر سرفراز بگٹی کی زیر صدارت سیکرٹریز کمیٹی کا اجلاس، محکموں کی کارکردگی کا جائزہ۔ جس ڈیپارٹمنٹ میں بھی نوکریاں فروخت ہونے کے مصدقہ ثبوت ملے اس محکمہ کا وزیر اور سیکرٹری نہیں رہیں گے وزیراعلیٰ بلوچستان میر سرفراز بگٹی کا سخت انتباہ۔ روز اول کہا تھا کوئی نوکری نہیں بکے گی، اصولی موقف پر کابینہ اراکین اور چیف سیکرٹری بلوچستان سمیت ہم سب ایک پیج پر ہیں، مصدقہ ثبوت اور غیر جانبدارانہ تحقیقات میں جرم ثابت ہوا تو "ملوث کردار "سزا سے نہیں بچ سکیں گے۔ سردی میں ٹھٹھرتے اور گرمی میں جھلستے کسی نوجوان کی نوکری فروخت نہیں ہونے دیں گے، بلوچستان کے نوجوانوں کی نوکریاں فروخت ہونے دینا کسی صورت قابل قبول نہیں، افسران احکامات پر مکمل عمل درآمد یقینی بنائیں۔ افسران پر مکمل اعتماد ہے، آپ باصلاحیت ہیں اور بلوچستان کو درست سمت میں لے جانے کی صلاحیت رکھتے ہیں، نوکریوں کی خرید و فروخت کے معاملے میں کسی غلطی کی گنجائش نہیں، اس پر کوئی معافی نہیں ہوگی، تمام سیکرٹریز اللہ کو حاضر و ناظر جان کر حلف اٹھائیں کہ بلوچستان کے نوجوانوں کی نوکریاں فروخت نہیں ہونے دیں گے، ماتحت اہلکاروں، ریکروٹمنٹ کمیٹیوں پر کڑی نظر رکھی جائے، کسی سطح پر کوئی بے ضابطگی قابل برداشت نہیں، نوکریوں کی خرید و فروخت روکنے کے لیے ہر طرح کا دباؤ برداشت کریں گے تاہم بلوچستان کے نوجوانوں کے حق پر سمجھوتہ نہیں ہوگا، وزیر اعلیٰ بلوچستان میر سرفراز بگٹی۔ میرٹوکریسی قائم کرکے ہی نوجوانوں کا ریاست پر اعتماد بحال کیا جا سکتا ہے، وزیر اعلیٰ بلوچستان میر سرفراز بگٹی کا اجلاس سے خطاب۔

Government promises no compromise on merit

Bugti said his government would resist pressure from any side if it was aimed at allowing government jobs to be sold.

He said the rights of Balochistan’s young people could not be compromised. For many job seekers, government employment is seen as an important opportunity in a province where employment opportunities remain a major concern.

The chief minister said establishing meritocracy was necessary to rebuild young people’s confidence in the state and its institutions. He directed government departments to follow his instructions strictly and ensure that recruitment procedures remain fair.

The government’s position also suggests that senior officials will face greater responsibility for what happens inside their departments. Secretaries and other officers are expected to monitor recruitment processes rather than simply rely on lower-level staff.

Strict action promised over recruitment violations

Bugti made it clear that the government would not accept mistakes or wrongdoing in the recruitment process.

He said there would be “no space for error and no forgiveness” in matters involving the sale of government jobs. The warning indicates that disciplinary action could follow if investigations confirm allegations of corruption or manipulation.

The Forest Department inquiry will be closely watched because its findings could determine whether recruitment complaints were based on genuine irregularities. The government has said those found guilty after a fair investigation will not escape punishment.

The wider policy is aimed at making public-sector recruitment more transparent. It also seeks to reassure young applicants that government jobs should be secured through merit rather than money or influence.
