While addressing the federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad, the prime minister said that Pakistan’s exports had increased, adding that collective efforts were underway for the improvement of the economy.
“We are following the agenda of economic reforms and taking steps to prevent electricity theft,” he stated and added that steps were also being taken to make electricity cheaper.
He further stated that the track and trace system was nothing but fraud, adding: “Cigarette manufacturing companies had an agreement on track and trace system. A research committee has been formed on it.”
He said that losses were being incurred due to criminal negligence, adding that billions and trillions of rupees could have been earned which was completely wasted.
He also said that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had collected trillions of rupees, but trillions of rupees were stuck in courts.
