Sindh cabinet approves pension reforms

KARACHI (Web Desk): The Sindh cabinet, led by CM Murad Ali Shah, approved pension reforms, new agricultural tax rules, and directed minimum wage notifications, while forming a committee to probe Iqbal Detho allegations.

 A meeting of the provincial cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in which the cabinet approved pension reforms.

According to the Sindh Chief Minister s spokesperson, the Finance Department will issue a notification on pension reforms.

The Sindh cabinet issued instructions to the Labor Department to issue a minimum wage notification and to ensure that all legal requirements are met before issuing a wage notification.

On the other hand, the Sindh cabinet approved the Agricultural Income Tax Rules, under which the new rules will require the landowner to register with the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB).

The cabinet has formed a subcommittee to investigate the allegations against Human Rights Commission Chairman Iqbal Detho, which includes the Law Minister, the Excise Minister, and the Special Assistant for Human Rights.
