Government to launch fan replacement program

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The government has decided to launch a program to replace electric fans across the country, according to which the existing fans will be replaced with energy-efficient electric fans.

According to a statement issued by the Federal Ministry of Finance, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Finance Minister on the fan replacement program, which was attended by Federal Minister for Energy Awais Ahmed Leghari and Governor State Bank.

The purpose of the meeting was to review the progress regarding the preparation and early launch of the fan replacement program. In the meeting, stakeholders were briefed on the practical preparation of the program and the expected schedule.

Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb said that this program will play an important role in energy conservation and economic stability and will bring about a positive change in consumer behavior. The program will also be a source of reduction in electricity consumption and broad economic benefits.

The Finance Minister directed to complete all necessary steps in this regard in the next two to three weeks so that the first phase of the program can be launched by the end of this month.
