PESHAWAR (Web Desk): Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government have marked another milestone by officially launching the ‘Ehsaas Apna Ghar’ scheme.

A ceremony was held at the Chief Minister’s House where interest-free loan checks were distributed to successful applicants.

The scheme has been allocated a budget of four billion rupees to provide interest-free loans of up to 1.5 million rupees to eligible individuals aged between 18 and 65 years, whose monthly income is less than 150,000 rupees.

The ‘Ehsaas Apna Ghar’ scheme was described as a flagship, people-centered initiative of the provincial government by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur at the event. He said the project’s goal aligns with former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision to help low-income families achieve the dream of owning their own home.

The Housing Department and Bank of Khyber officials were praised by Gandapur for their efforts in making the scheme operational and functional. He assured the public that many of the province’s economic challenges have been largely resolved thanks to the team’s relentless work.

“Our province is now standing on its own feet economically,” he added, promising to increase resources and invest more in the welfare of the people. The Chief Minister also vowed to provide better facilities across all sectors and promised that citizens’ issues will be resolved at their doorstep.

Additionally, he revealed plans to soon launch a solar system supply program for deserving families as part of the broader social welfare agenda. Gandapur emphasized that both the ‘Ehsaas Apna Ghar’ and upcoming solar schemes will ensure 100% transparency and merit-based allocation.

He expressed his gratitude to parliamentarians who helped implement the program and thanked the public for not resorting to political favoritism in the application process. He acknowledged the damage caused by the culture of favoritism, vowed to end it, and stressed the need to rebuild trust between the government and citizens.

Other development projects, including rapid progress on the New Peshawar Valley initiative, were shared by the Chief Minister. Moreover, he confirmed that significant investments in health, education, drinking water, infrastructure, and other important sectors will be included in the upcoming budget for the new fiscal year to further improve living standards across the province.
