Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday the first operation took place on December 5 in Tank, where security personnel acted on “credible intelligence” regarding the presence of militants linked to the India-backed faction Fitna al-Khawarij.
According to the military’s media wing, troops engaged the militants in a fierce exchange of fire upon reaching the location, resulting in the elimination of seven members of the group. Their hideout was also destroyed during the operation.
In a separate IBO carried out in Lakki Marwat, security forces confronted another group of terrorists and killed two more individuals associated with the same network.
