A bomb attack on the Rangers headquarters in Karachi was foiled after security forces killed five terrorists in a swift response.

Terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij launched a bomb attack near the Rangers headquarters on University Road in Karachi. Security forces immediately responded and engaged the attackers.

According to initial reports, the attack targeted the Rangers headquarters located near Karachi’s University Road. The quick action by security personnel prevented the terrorists from causing greater damage.

During the operation, security forces killed five terrorists involved in the attack. The timely response helped bring the situation under control within a short time.

Law enforcement agencies secured the area soon after the incident. A search operation was also launched to ensure there were no additional threats nearby.

Police and other law enforcement agencies rushed to the area after reports of heavy gunfire and an explosion near Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 6. The incident created panic among residents and prompted authorities to secure the area.

According to police, personnel from several law enforcement agencies were immediately deployed to investigate the situation. Officials began checking the area to determine the cause of the incident and ensure public safety.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has sought a detailed report from the Sindh Inspector General of Police and the Karachi Additional Inspector General. The report was requested after the incident near Mosmiyat Chowrangi.

Following the incident, authorities closed the road from Mosmiyat Chowrangi towards Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 6 and Kamran Chowrangi. The restrictions were imposed to allow security officials to carry out their operation without disruption.

Police also shut the road connecting Mosmiyat Chowrangi with Chaman Iqbal Colony. Motorists were advised to use alternative routes until the situation became clear.

Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar also directed the Karachi Additional Inspector General to submit an immediate report. Officials have not yet released further details about the cause of the firing and explosion or reported any casualties.
